Olde Dutch Mill Golf Course and Southeast hosted a middle-school tournament that included teams from Southeast, Lake, Tallmadge, Jackson-Milton and two games from Kent.

Medalist for the tournament was Andrew VanDamme, firing a 37, 1-over-par, for the nine-hole tournament. VanDamme is having a successful summer after winning the Matt Mishler Junior Portage County Amateur’s 13 to 15 age division as well.
Three 38s followed fired by Southeast’s Nathan Kinter and Mason Dillon and Lake’s Blake Walchalk.
Lake won the tournament, scoring 169 followed by Southeast’s 178.
The rest of the tournament: Kent A 183, Jackson-Milton 207, Kent B 214, Tallmadge 216.

Jackson Eichler, standout golfer for Waterloo, is starting his sophomore year at Bluffton College and currently playing Stateline Shootout at the Miami Whitewater Golf Course located in the Whitewater Forest in Ohio.
The two-day tournament concludes today.
At the most recent tournament, Eichler and Bluffton competed at the Tecumseh Golf Club in Tecumseh, MI for the Irish Hills Intercollegiate.
Bluffton finished in sixth place at the event as Eichler fired an 89-88 for a 177, good for 39th place individually.
