Dave Senerchia found his way to a perfect game in the Bill White Memorial Senior Trio at Spins Lanes in Kent.

Senerchia easily moved into the highest game spot with a 67-pin cushion over second high game bowler Doug Contofalsky.

Troy Allison bowled the high series, a 692.

Shaun Bennett just missed his 300 game, literally leaving only one pin standing for a 299 game on his way to a 681 series in the Elks and Friends League, again at Spins Bowl. The same league saw Karla Kommel rise to the top of the women 203-537.

KEEPING KIDS INTERESTED IN SPORTS

It isn’t hard to understand that if kids feel they are successful and they are having fun, they are more likely to get better in a sport.

That is the goal of the junior leagues and the peewee and bumper leagues at area lanes.

From the youngest bowlers to teenagers and using inflatable bumpers or frames that pull up in the gutters or not, youth bowlers will keep trying when they are enjoying competition with their peers and have success on the lanes.

Both Sky Lanes in Garrettsville and Spins Bowl in Kent have opportunities for children of all ages to bowl in a bumper, pee wee and junior leagues.

This week, at Sky Lanes, in their Saturday morning Pee Wees, Mason Hodson led the league, bowling 124-232 for the boys and Jamie Goodrich led the girls 92-162.

At Spins Bowl, Johnathan Lowe was at the top of the league rolling 75-144.

If you take your young daughters or sons to bowl, make sure you ask if bumpers or rails are available. It can be fun for the entire family.

SOLID SERIES AT SKY LANES

Melissa Deakins had a successful league in th KQ/PFG/Homesmart League at Sky Lanes.

Bowlers in the league at the top of the leaderboard included Kayla Stottlemire 200, Chelsi Phelps 197-540 and Ryleigh Gough 519.
