The Southeast Youth Football and Cheerleaders are hosting a golf outing on May 30 at Olde Dutch Mill Golf Course in Lake Milton, home of the Pirates’ golf teams. It will be an 8 a.m. shotgun start.

Registration is $100 per golfer for the four-person scramble. Teams may bundle with a hole sponsorship for $500 per team.

JUNIOR GOLFERS

The first tournament on the Northern Ohio PGA Junior Schedule is the 36-hole Next Level Tour at Ashland Golf Course on May 16-17.

Deadline to register is Friday.

KENT STATE

Following the Kent State women’s outstanding victory at the Mid-American Conference golf championships, the KSU men begin their effort to win the MAC on Sunday for tournament play that runs through Tuesday at Holiday Farms in Zionsville, Ind.

The men are the defending champions having claimed the title in 2025.

Following the women’s victory, coach Casey VanDamme was named Coach of the Year in the MAC.

The Golden Flashes women’s golf team now heads to the 2026 NCAA Division I Regional at Chapel Hill, N.C., May 11-13. The Flashes are the No. 5 seed.
