PORTAGE COUNTY OPEN

Portage County USBC invites bowlers to compete in the Portage County Open set for April 11 to April 26 at Spins Bowl in Kent.

Interested bowlers will find entry forms on Facebook and at all Portage County bowling lanes.

PERFECT AND ALMOST

Mike Mitov rolled a 300 game on his way to the high series in the Garden Spot/JBL Roofing League.

He was closely followed by Jim Pischera, just three pins shy of Mitov, bowling a 297 game and a 743 series.

Leading the women, Aleks Kiss rolled a 712 high series with a 276 game and Teri Plaso rolling the high game, a solid 290.

HIGH SCHOOL MATCH PLAY

As high school bowlers continue to hone their skills following the end of the season, several had outstanding efforts in the match-play league.

Peyton Hover led all boys bowling a 259-609 and Joy Justice rolled a 232 high game and a 525 high series.

Other significant games included Tristan Roberts 234-602.
