Curtis fired identical 80s on both the first and second day of the state tournament, which was hosted at the Ohio State University Scarlet Course.

Curtis’ 80-80—160 feel just 12 shots off the score of state champion Nick Piesen of St. Ignatius (74-74—148) on the par 72 course.

Curtis, who is the Suburban League’s American Conference Player of the Year, advanced to the state championship out of the Pine Hills District. He shot a 4-over 75 to tie for 12th place at the district tournament.
