Southeast High School pitcher Shannon Hamilton authored a dominant prep career for the Pirates, helping the program to a district championship in 2008.

In the 2008 season, coached by Dave Dubinsky, the Pirates lost to Hoban in the regional semifinal.

Hamilton was the team’s ace pitcher, going 17-4 as a junior and 14-5 as a senior — with a sub 1.50 earned-run average. She was also one of the team’s top hitters, oftentimes hitting in the heart of the lineup for the Pirates.
