GENERAL OUTLOOK

“The team needs time to come together, but I see great potential for the 2026 season,” Harrison said. “The eight returning starters give a lot of veteran leadership to handle the tough schedule coming up this year.”

FORWARDS

“Kaia Board is coming back from injury, which caused her to miss her junior year. She supplies speed on the front line.”

Bella Hanus controls up front and is dynamic playing with her back to the goal.

Sydney Langham is aggressive and fast, giving equal attack on all positions up top.

Ellen Tachdjian gives senior leadership up top, giving a great teammate who can supply goals from outside the box with left or right foot.

Freshman Maddie Cox is aggressive going to the goal and will be a great addition to the goal-scoring forwards.

MIDFIELD

“Adrianna Feisthamel is a defensive stopper at the holding-mid and great at getting her head up in distributing the ball.

Bella Sferry is great with the ball at her feet and can score anywhere around the box, but is unselfish enough to give her teammates better opportunities.

Jessica Marotta plays well with or without the ball and is not afraid to shoot.

“Maryia Mata-Sanchez is a great leader and gives it her all every time she’s on the field. Reese Ianetta comes in with no step down in the mid, giving it her all and making her an excellent teammate.

“Morgan Gvora is my versatile player willing to play any position needed to help the team win. Callie Conrad is a great addition to the midfield. She keeps her head up and controls the mid even as a freshman.”

DEFENSE

“Brooke Warnke and Izzy Savukas show potential on the field at both defense and offense and are not afraid to attack when the chance comes.”

Mallory Curtis is solid on the ball with a high soccer IQ.

“Caitlin Miller has a great attitude and works well to command the defense. She is fit to ball all 80 minutes if needed.

Morgan Newbauer is a great fifth defender backing up any of the four returning starters.

GOALKEEPERS

The goalkeepers are Kelly Gerlock, Addison Okuley and Leah Wolf.

“All three goalkeepers are solid and have their own special traits, which make them varsity keepers.”

GENERAL OUTLOOK

“We have one of the biggest teams we have had in recent history, with 35 girls on the roster. We are excited about our versatility and depth, as well as the blend of experienced returning players and new faces that will make an impact for us this season,” Nader said.

“We have good speed, smart and creative playmakers and everyone has bought into a team-first environment. The group is coachable and they are having fun, but they are also working really hard to get ready for the season.”

FORWARDS

“Dependent on our formation, we will move a variety of players into the forwards position, including Kenzie Constable, Dre Maione, Molly Murphy, Brooklyn Wilson, Emma Knapp, Odessa Hottensmith and Keira Schock.

Murphy brings a variety of skills.

“She is strong technically and tactically. She is creative, plays with good composure and can finish with both feet. In addition to her skill on the field, Molly has a strong work ethic and positive energy.”

Knapp returns after lettering last season as a freshman.

“She is fast and uses it to her advantage to create opportunities. She got good experience last year and should benefit from that this season.”

Constable and Maione were able to work their way into the rotation last season and gained

valuable time that should help prepare them for this season.

Hottensmith and Schock are both freshmen, who have impressed throughout the off-season and preseason.

“They come ready to work every day. They understand the game and play with a great set of skills and enthusiasm.”

MIDFIELD

The midfield is anchored by returning starters Kelsey Tucker (captain), Peyton Schock and Brooklyn Wilson.

Tucker was named Second Team All-Metro Athletic Conference last year. She scored 12 goals and had five assists last season.

“She is a very smart player, who is good at controlling the pace of the game. She is strong with both feet and can create in small spaces and under pressure. She is a settling factor when she has the ball at her feet.”

Schock was Honorable Mention All-MAC last year. She had seven goals and five assists and is a three-year starter.

“She entered high school as a freshman who was ready to make an impact, and she has grown over the last two seasons. She sees the field well and can be a threat to score or create as plays develop in front of her.”

Wilson had five goals and three assists last year, was Second Team All-MAC and is entering her third year as a starter.

“She has great speed and it would be difficult to find someone who works harder. She plays with a contagious level of energy. She has continued to improve her touch on the ball and her ability to change direction under control.”

Freshman Ava Murphy will also have a big impact in the midfield.

“She is a tenacious player, who has the ability to create for others and score. She covers a lot of ground on the field, is great at winning tackles and has a high work ethic. She loves the game and her play shows that enthusiasm.”

Seniors Annaliese Nichols, Natalie Miller and Paisley Nader will also be in the mix.

Nichols lettered last season and could also see some time as a defender, especially early in the season.

“She brings good speed and tenacity.”

Miller returns this season and gives the team depth.

“She plays hard and determined.”

Nader also returns to the sport this season.

“She has good touch on the ball, makes smart decisions and is a strong team leader.”

Ruby Roberts, another freshman, could make an impact in the midfield this season.

“I gave her the nickname ‘The Computer’ a couple years ago because she processes the game so fast. She see things a step or two ahead of most players.”

DEFENSE

Audrey Richmond (captain) returns for her third season as the starter at center-back.

She was Honorable Mention All-MAC last year.

“She is a tremendous defender that has all of the tools. Speed, IQ, ability, composure. She is the anchor of our defense.”

Ava Mondello and Lauren West are returning starters. West has great speed, understands angles and is relentless.

“She puts the team first in every way.”

Mondello has the ability to win tackles, then control the ball technically to help spark transitions.

“She has played a lot of midfield in her career, which allows her to see the field from the back and create.”

Senior Kayla Phillips (captain) has a lot of varsity experience and has the ability to play starter-level minutes.

“She can do a little bit of everything on the back line and will be important for depth and to help us flip the field.”

Senior Winter Matijakovic (captain) is another player who adds depth.

“She has good foot skills, plays smart and is a great team leader. She understands the game at a high level and you won’t find someone who cares more about the team than Winter.”

Also in the mix are senior Hailey Reed, sophomore Clara Taube and freshmen Ryan Roberts, Roseyy Reger and Kaelyn Henson.

GOALKEEPERS

Junior Zoe Kramer was the team’s starter last season. She gained valuable experience in her first full season as a starter.

“She is athletic and quick on her feet. She has good reach and has been training hard.”

Freshman Gracie Raddish has also been working hard.

“She has very quick, instinctual reflexes that help her get to balls most can’t. She is a quiet leader.”

GENERAL OUTLOOK

“With 13 seniors graduating, we are definitely in a rebuild mode. We return some experience, but will be asking many players to increase their roles as the season progresses,” head coach Aaron Gilbert said.

“Also, the back half of our schedule is loaded with some very talented teams, so it will be important to show growth in our early part of the schedule to remain competitive for the second half of the season.”

FORWARDS

Seniors Tao Bowers, Kylene McMayona, Becca Evans and junior Gabby Harrison will be the main forwards.

“With playing a new formation this season, we are trying several different players at the forward position. Each of these girls brings a unique skills set to the position, and we are looking for all of them to contribute in some sort of way this season and finish when the ball gets in the box.”

MIDFIELD

Leading the way in the midfield will be seniors Madi Seiler and Hannah Timmons, junior Payton Powers and sophomores KitKat Walker and Reese Hill.

“Probably the strength of our team. We will be asking these girls to log a lot of minutes each game and contribute in many ways offensively and defensively. This position group provides the most returning experience. Hannah will be the backbone of the position and set the table for our forwards.”

DEFENSE

The defense will be young with no seniors.

Pacing the group will be juniors Lexie Kristoff, Violet Callahan and Madison Hayhurst, sophomore Laney Messersmith and freshmen Lilly Brasko, Liv Trivisonno and Sabrina Evans.

“This is the position that took the biggest hit from graduation as all the defensive players from last season graduated, so we are in a complete rebuild in the back. Lots of youth and inexperience at the position causes some concern, especially with the strength of schedule we have this season.”

GOALKEEPERS

The goalkeepers will be junior Emily Knerem and sophomore Laney Messersmith.

“Another position of concern as neither of these players have played the position before, and it will be a work in progress all season. Need to get experience as the season continues.”

“The midfield will be the engine of this team led by Maggie Pazderak. With a mix of returning experience and emerging talent, this group will be responsible for controlling possession, connecting the defense to the attack and setting the tempo each match.”

“Addison Pownall and Charlie Wilson will gear up between the posts for us this season. GENERAL OUTLOOK

“Our team lost four All-Conference level players from a year ago. I anticipate some bumps early on as we have a tough early schedule and we adjust to new roles, but we have a big senior class who has had a lot of success and experience,” head coach Ryan Willard said.

“I think, because of those attributes, we’ll just get stronger as the season progresses.”

FORWARDS

“We return one of the leading scorers in the county with McKenzie Montgomery, who had 23 goals as a freshman. She will look to build on what she did a year ago, but she is not alone.

“Olivia Willard and Olivia Knepper have each had 10-goal seasons of their own. Willard has been an All-Conference midfielder the last couple of years, but will probably be asked to do more up front this year. Rachel Schofield will play a big role as well.”

MIDFIELD

The midfield also returns a lot of experience.

Kaylee Roberts, Jazlynn Crudup, Morgan Vales and Jenna Fall all have starting experience, but “we also return Audrina, who has played a lot of minutes as well.”

“Olivia Willard and Rachel Schofield will also contribute in the midfield depending on how we set up. Audrina Russo will help out. We graduated an All-Ohio player in Addison Mrakovich, but this group should be a strong group.”

DEFENSE

“This is the area where we graduated the most minutes, but still return a lot of experience. Lyra Sadowski, Carman Marcini and Ava Sullivan have all started in the past and are ready to take over bigger roles. Morgan Vales and Jazlynn Crudup will both rotate into the back at times as well.”

GOALKEEPERS

“We have a unique situation where we have two very good senior goalkeepers in Morgan Novak and Emma McDonough. Both will split time throughout the year.”

GENERAL OUTLOOK

“The summer has been very productive. We have a bigger roster and are looking for our new players to contribute significantly,” head coach Bill Jackson said. “We return nine players with starting experience and have several key contributors who will be substituting in. The key to our season will be how fast we settle into our new roles as the scrimmage and early-season schedule is very challenging.

“We also take a mid-season trip to Columbus for the Elite Game Series against Minford. The team should be battle tested when we arrive at the postseason. The goal for this season is simple: November!”

FORWARDS

Juniors Johanna King, Alexis Henry and Koralee Jenior, sophomore Jewel Janda and freshman Lucy Wiles make up the position group with the most experience. “We will lean on them to make plays and lead.”

MIDFIELD

The midfielders are seniors Julia Boyle and Taylor Kunka; juniors Helania Beamer, Kate England and Joleen Hampton; sophomore Emma Murphy; and freshmen Lucy Wiles and Kourtney Hansen.

“This group is a good mix of athleticism and game sense. They are still learning the nuances of the position and are growing quickly this preseason.”

DEFENSE

“The defenders are senior Taylor Kunka; juniors Helania Beamer, Molly Wiles, Alexis Henry and Bri Fox; sophomore Willow King; and freshman Harmony Mangus. “This group is a nice mix of experience and youth that will be tested early. They look to gel and get comfortable with our play style leading up to the start of the season.”

GOALKEEPERS

“Junior Abigail Roberts and sophomore Payton Call are the goalkeepers. “We bring back a strong keeper in Abigail who does a great job but will be working hard to increase her abilities this preseason.”
