SEASON OUTLOOK

Veteran coach Erika Greenberg feels that the team’s success will generate from uptempo defensive pressure and the ability to create turnovers to offer the chance to attack on offense.

Offensively, the Greenmen will attempt to distribute opportunities evenly and spread the floor.

“Our players have put a lot of effort into improving together this off-season,” Greenberg said. “They are playing extremely hard and want the entire team to be successful.”

GUARDS

Senior Sam Stask leads the group with her ability to shoot the ball or attack the rim, along with her above average court vision.

“She will be the leader of our team this year, with her ability to manage the flow of the game, as well as direct the team while on the floor.”

Stask averaged 12.6 points per game and buried 26 3-pointers last season.

Manav is a quick and athletic defender, then is able to get to the rim or shoot outside on offense.

Unverferth is a “solid defender, who gets to the rim and finishes well,” according to Greenberg.

Witting greatly improved her game during the off-season and brings energy and effort.

Pierce is described as an “excellent defender,” who can find her offense in a variety of ways.

FORWARDS

Feckner’s post moves make her a threat to score on the interior, but she can also step to the outside for jumpshots.

Miller possesses great inside moves and footwork and is a great rebounder.

Jenna Zuelch has height inside and is strong with the ball, but can also shoot from the perimeter.

UNDERCLASSMEN TO WATCH

Abbey Feckner, fresh.; Jillian Monastero, fresh.

CAUSE FOR CONCERN

“We do not have a ton of size inside, and we will really have to battle when we play bigger opponents.”

LEAGUE OUTLOOK

“Obviously, we hope we are one of the teams that will be contending for the title, but I think Copley and Highland are going to be the top teams to fight for the title.”
