Garfield head coach Mike Moser followed up the 100th win of his career in Week 6, with one of the most thrilling victories of his career in Week 7.
The final score: 35-34.
Garfield over Liberty at Liberty.
Hidden behind the result is the fact that the G-Men trailed by as many as 20 (34-14) in the game.
To complete the comeback, Garfield needed nearly ever last second of the game, with the winning play coming in the closing seconds.
Quarterback Jack Neikirk connected on a 26-yard touchdown pass to Brandyn Bogucki, who leapt up and hauled in the toss after running a post corner route.
The touchdown tied the score 34-34, then Hannah Timmons kicked the game-winning extra point to lift the G-Men to the memorable victory.
Ryder Cain rushed for 122 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while Bogucki had 47 yards rushing and 143 yards and a pair of touchdowns receiving.
Neikirk finished 11-of-15 through the air for 230 yards, showing that the run-heavy Garfield offense can switch it up and go through the air as well.
