Par for the Course: Portage Sports Golf Tournament announces participating high-school athletes

The Portage Sports Four-Person Scramble Golf Tournament, set for June 29 at Sunny Hill Golf Course in Brimfield, will provide a fun event for all golfers with the chance to meet some of the best athletes in Portage County and use their skills to advance the foursome around the course.

Athletes scheduled to appear as part of the All-Sports Battle include:

Samantha Clark, Streetsboro girls golf

Keegan Sell, Garfield football

Kayden Smith, Field baseball

Abby White, Rootstown softball

McKennah Metzger, Aurora softball

Alex Simms, Kent Roosevelt ice hockey

Dominic France, Kent Roosevelt ice hockey

Erin Hallis, Crestwood girls soccer

Caleb Brastine, Field boys soccer

Jazmyn Stevens, Crestwood volleyball

Quinn Justham, Windham volleyball

Dave Dulak, playing in the Windmill Lakes Tuesday League, aced the Par 3, second hole.

Dulak used his 7-iron to slam dunk the ball into the cup in the Hack Daddy’s League.



Portage County junior and high school golfers are having a solid summer of tournaments as they compete in events throughout northern Ohio.

The NOPGA hosted several junior tours from June 4-7 with local junior golfers placing among the best.
