Mia Turner of Kent recently celebrated the first hole in one of her career.

She accomplished the special feat at Raccoon Hill.

Turner used her 3 Wood to travel the 150 yards from the tee box to the green on Hole 15.

BRIELLE ROWLES

Streetsboro’s Brielle Rowles traveled to Florida to compete in the Under Armour Winter Nationals after qualifying for the prestigious event.

Rowles was in sixth place after the first day and ultimately finished 15th out of the 31 girls competing in the 9-to-11 age group.

Rowles is in the sixth grade at Streetsboro.

Brielle has also competed in the Portage County Amateurs and earned a medal for the one of the top-three places in the Matt Mishler Junior Amateur in 2024.

BRIELLE ROWLES

Rowles competed in numerous tournaments hosted by The Northern Ohio PGA, including six tournaments on the Futures Tour.

Rowles won the North Olmsted tournament at North Olmsted Golf Club and earned the runner-up spot at Black Brook Golf Club in Mentor.

NORTHERN OHIO PGA

Registration is open as of March 2nd for the junior tour of tournaments hosted by the Northern Ohio PGA.

Log onto www.thenorthernohiopga.com for information on the numerous tournaments for juniors as well as several available to golfers who are not professionals.

Several tours are available for juniors including: Next Level Tour (36 holes); Performance Tour (18 holes); Futures Tour (9 holes).

The first event on the tour is scheduled for May 16-17 for juniors competing on the Next Level series.

The first 36-hole tournament is hosted at Ashland Golf Club in Ashland followed by Tannenhauf Golf Club in Alliance on May 23-24.
