300 RING PRESENTATION

Billy Potteiger received the ring from USBC recognizing his 300 game bowled at Sky Lanes on Sept. 18.

On hand for the presentation was Shawna Laubert Potteiger, his mom, and Ann Laubert, his grandmother.

The entire Laubert family is part of a USBC Oddity Record that includes family members holding 300s made up of parents, children and their spouses and grandchildren.

ALMOST PERFECT

In the Elks and Friends League at Spins Bowl, Shaun Bennet rolled a near-perfect 299 game. Scott Enlow added a 269 and Keith Lang a 267 for the men as Laura Elwood tossed a 234 high game for the women.

High series for the week included a trio of 700-plus series tossed by Ron Elwood 756, Kevin Kommel 750 and Corey Daniels 729 and, for the women, Zoe Bevilacqua 684.

In the Perfect Fit Trio at Spins, Robby Roberts was also working on his perfect game and missed the final strike in the 12th frame as well, bowling his own 299 onhis way to a 951 series. Troy Workman and Matt Willis bowled 278 games to both land in the top three.

The women in the top three captured both the best three games and series: Kirsten Moore 242-911, Zoe Bevilacqua 2330-799 and Laura Elwood 213-761.

JUNIOR HIGHS

In the competitive High School Match Play League at Spins Bowl, Colden Prater was the best on the lanes, 222-559 and Emily Morrison led the girls, 169-432.

The Saturday Morning Junior League at Spins saw Dominic Madden and Jackson Adolph vie for high game and series. In the end, Madden fired a 220 high game on his way to a 508 series and Adolph captured high series a 557 that included a 201 high game — good for runner-up for the week.

Lilly Baclawski was the best on the lanes for the girls finding her mark for a 175-450.

At Sky Lanes, Jakob Zimmerman fired a 258 high game on his way to a 618 series to lead the boys.
