The 1951 Randolph Tigers football team shared the Portage County League championship with Rootstown.
All of the Tigers’ home games were played at Mogadore because of the construction of Randolph’s new gymnasium. Randolph’s 7-1 record included victories over Atwater, Garrettsville, Rootstown, Windham, Mantua, Southeast and Aurora.
The team’s lone loss occurred at the hands of Ravenna Township, 12-6.
The team included (front row from left to right) Wilbur Myers, James Huth, Glen Horning, Glenn Paulus, Edward Rhodes, Ernie Sayre, Tom Darrah, Melvin Mitchell, Gene Begue, Frank Kelley, Myron Mullett.
