The Field Falcons’ baseball team won the 2001 Portage County League championship, capturing the program’s second consecutive league title in the process.

The Falcons won the crown by defeating the Woodridge Bulldogs in the PCL championship game.

Field athletic director Craig Nettleton (pictured at left) presents baseball coach Bob McCrackin the championship trophy. It was McCrackin’s first season as head coach, taking over the program for 29-year veteran Larry Wiles, who retired after winning the PCL championship in 2000 and finishing his career with 456 wins.
