Palmyra softball wins 12U fall ball championship

The 12U Palmyra team completed an undefeated season with a tournament championship as members of the Portage Girls Softball fall league season.

The team went 10-0 in the regular season and earned the No. 1 overall seed in the tournament.

In the tourney’s semifinals, Palmyra defeated Jackso-Milton by a 7-2 score, then defeated Ravenna Girls with Grit in the championship final 8-7.

In the semifinal, Kirsten Harvey was the winning pitcher, with Kendall Shamblin (single), Madison Fultz (double), Rosalie Kemble (single), Lauren Metzgar (single and double) and Payton Pendleton (double) adding the offense.

In the championship game, Kendall Shamblin was the winning pitcher and Lauren Metzgar (single and home run) and Vayda Stelzer (double) were the top hitters.

The team is coached by Kelly Harvey and Sharil Shamblin and includes:
