The 2000 Field High School baseball team were champions of the Portage County League.

The Falcons posted a 20-3 overall record and were 11-2 in the PCL.

JASON MCBROOM

The team was led by First Team All-PCL pitchers Jason McBroom and Drew Nekola.

McBroom, a lefty, was 8-0 on the season, with a 0.32 earned-run average and 98 strikeouts, giving up just 14 hits on the entire season, and was named PCL Player of the Year.

The team was coached by legendary Larry Wiles, who amassed 456 career wins over 29 seasons for the most wins in Portage County history and was named the Coach of the Year for the 2000 season.
