WINDHAM DEF. LORDSTOWN,

After narrowly losing the first two games to Lordstown on Thursday, the Bombers led a spirited rally to win the next three and win the Northeastern Athletic Conference game in five.
Windham earned a hard fought 25-23 win in game three, then tied up the match with a 25-19 victory in game four before winning the tiebreaker more decisively at 15-5.
Leading the Bombers were Quinn Justham (18 assists, 15 points, 8 aces), Briah Daniel (11 kills, 11 blocks) and ZaNya Henderson (37 digs).
ROOTSTOWN DEF. ST. THOMAS AQUINAS,
25-16, 25-17, 25-17
The Rovers captured a three-game sweep over the Knights on Thursday in Louisville to improve to 3-0 in Portage Trail Conference play.
Rootstown, now 6-3 overall, was led by Marina Nichol’s big game serving. She finished with 16 points and three aces, while Lindsay Smith also had 12 points and four aces for the Rovers.
Smith also dominated at the net for eight blocks.
Taylor Banks had seven assists for Rootstown, which also received six kills from Allison Strickland.
MOGADORE DEF. WARREN JFK,
25-21, 24-26, 25-20, 25-16
The Wildcas’ victory was led by Haylie Stuart’s 13 service points, while Hennessy Brake and Addi Gerring each had six kills. Brooklyn McIntyre led the Cats with 21 digs.
The victor improve MOgadore to 2-3 overall and 1-2 in the Portage Trail Conference.
CRESTWOOD DEF. GRAND VALLEY,
25-7, 25-10, 29-27
The Red Devils lifted their record to 5-2 overall and 3-1 in the Chagrin Valley Conference with a three-game victory over Grand Valley in Mantua.
After Crestwood cruised to victories in the first two games, Grand Valley pushed the Devils in game three before Crestwood scored the two-point triumph in extended time.
Zoe Babnik and Abby Guyette each scored 12 points, while Maddie Dustman was the top hitter with 11 kills.
Abby Guyette had 12 assists, while Jazmyn Stevens had nine for the Devils.
LOWELLVILLE DEF. WATERLOO,
25-18, 25-20, 23-25, 25-11
The Vikings could not keep up with Lowellville on Thursday in Atwater.
Falling behind 2-0, the Vikings, though staved off the loss with a victory in game three.
Waterloo (2-5 overall, 1-5 MVAC) was led by Miranda Long, who had 12 assists, four kills and two blocks. Alayna Holmes had eight digs, while Isabella Kozma added five kills for the Vikings.
SOUTHEAST 5, WARREN JFK 0
The Southeast Pirates shutout the visiting Eagles on Thursday, with the offense led by Cami McPeak’s hat trick.
Additional goals for the Pirates were scored by Anna Keto and Sophia Fischer.
The five-goal output included a pair of assists from Mya Sutcliffe and one more from Sarah Craver.
ROOTSTOWN 3, NORTON 2
The Rovers earned a non-league victory at home over the Metro Athletic Conference’s Panthers.
Melanie Plecko, Porter Smith and Carlee Clifford all scored goals for the Rovers in the narrow triumph.
The win was the Rovers’ third straight.
ROOTSTOWN 1, LAKE CENTER CHRISTIAN 1
The Rovers and Tigers battled to a tie on Thursday in Hartville, with both teams scoring their goals in the first half before a scoreless second half.
Brady Fillmore scored Rootstown’s lone goal on an assist from Nathan Pastor.
RAVENNA 1, SALEM 0
The Ravens received a second-half, game-winning goal from Mason Ward to knock off the previously undefeated Quakers in Salem.
Ward’s goal was assisted by Michael Myers.
