BOYS SOCCER

GARFIELD 6, LABRAE 0

The combination of Preston Gedeon to Ethan Bittence was hot early for the G-Men, with the duo connecting on the first three goals of the game.

Bittence was scoring and Gedeon was finding him.

“Preston was the man of the match,” Garfield head coach Michael Coney said. “He played a fantastic match, setting the table for Ethan and scoring himself as well.”

The G-Men eventually pushed the advantage out to 5-0 by halftime, with Gedeon scoring the team’s fourth goal and Matt Robinson also netting one.

In the second half, Aaron Gissinger scored Garfield’s final goal of the game.

The win improved Garfield back to even on the season at 5-5-1, while LaBrae dropped to 2-8-2.

For Bittence, it was his third hat trick of the season in a game in which him and his teammates passed the ball very well.
