Field picked up their very first win of the season splitting a tri-match as they beat Woodridge 234 to 249, but lost to Woodridge by 34 strokes.

Kasey Cannon earned match medalist honors, carding a 49 at her Field’s home course, Sunny Hill in Brimfield.

It was the first career golf victory for first-year head coach Dan Battaglia.

RANKINGS

Many of the golf teams are now using the OHSAA Golf app for scoring for both individual matches and team tournaments.

In return, OHSAA provides rankings for the golf teams using the apps including both individuals and teams, rating their position in the state.

Ohio has three divisions for boys and two divisions for girls teams and individuals.

Several Portage County teams are doing very well in the rankings and are teams to watch as the golf season looks forward to the season-ending tournaments.

Here are the Portage County boys and girls golf teams and their rankings and individuals in the top 50 of the Northeast District.

Note: Some teams may not show-up in the app because they are not using it for individual matches but all teams use the app at the OHSAA sectional, district and state tournaments.
