Following the efforts of the Kent Roosevelt boys at the OHSAA Division II swimming and diving state tournament, the Rough Riders’ girls state qualifiers took their turn at the Division I state meet.

TRINITY HEATH

Trinity Heath swam very well, according to her coach Corey Spicer.

She finished the 50 Freestyle in 24.40 and was 19th in the state, while placing 17th in Ohio in the 100 Freestyle in a time of 53.06.

“It was the best state finish in both events for her,” Spicer said.

Kate Enemosser, a senior, earned 30th for Roosevelt in the diving competition.

“I am extremely proud and honored to have had the opportunity to coach this group of young athletes,” Spicer said.

“They are such a fun and talented team and pushed and challenged each other all year long. Their commitment to getting better every single day is something special,” Spicer added.

“The best part is that we will have many of them returning next season to continue pushing new limits and setting even bigger goals.

KATE ENEMOSSER

“To our seniors, we are going to miss you tremendously next year,” stated the coach. “Thank you for being the leaders and role models your teammates were able to learn from this season. You set the standard with your work ethic, preparation and character.

“There are big shoes to fill, but because of the seniors example and guidance, the team is already one step ahead.”
