The Rootstown girls varsity bowling team celebrated Senior Night with a Portage Trail Conference victory over the Southeast Pirates on Thursday.

The win clinched an undefeated league season for the Rovers.

Topping the Pirates by over 400 pins, the Rovers were led by Mal Butcher’s high game of 192, Elli Campell’s high series 188-342 and Natalie Hammerschmidt’s solid bowling (175-332).

Southeast’s best was tossed by Abby Smith, 181-384.

Both teams now conclude the PTC season, alongside all other PTC member schools, at the PTC Championship tournament, which will be hosted at Spins Bowl in Kent on Saturday.
