Season Outlook: “To learn and grow as players and people,” said coach Ally Butcher. “We are working on better communication, learning new strategies and strengthening our skills. Our team dynamic is one of respect, encouragement and resiliency.”
Players to Watch: Kacee Arus, soph.; Kylee Huff, soph.; Sarah Kahn, fresh.
Off the Field: Senior Cassidy Singer has committed to Westminster College to continue her lacrosse career and education.
Head Coach: Zach Adair.
Coaching Staff: Noah McCarty, varsity assistant and defensive coordinator; Nick Latshaw, JV; Ross Adair, assistant; Austin England, goalkeeper coach.
Season Outlook: “We expect to win more than we lose this year,” said coach Zach Adair. “We have a lot more experience on this year’s team, with a good number of our players participating in club lacrosse outside of Roosevelt.”
Attack: “Led by Max Kenworthy (senior), King Milton (junior), Alex Simms (senior) and Tom Kaschak (junior), we expect this to be the core of our scoring offense,” said Adair. “Each player brings a unique skillset to the field and we’ll rely on them to both score and create scoring opportunities for others.”
Midfield: Adair considers this to be the deepest position on the team.
“We expect big contributions from Chase Bell (junior), David Hamilton (senior), Holden Morris (sophomore), Sam Snellenberger (junior) and Aaron Watt (senior).
“At faceoff, Max Ucadze and Cole Mills will give us a good opportunity at possessions. Our long-stick middle position will be led by Ozzy Herbruck (junior).”
Defense: Junior Sam Amodio, junior Enzo Yenal and sophomore Aaron Gardner will be the “anchor of our poles,” according to Adair.
We expect them to apply pressure and create difficult scoring opportunities for our opponents each game.”
Goalie: Gabe Marshall, sophomore, may be one of the best goalies in our region, according to Adair said. “We’ll rely on Gabe to keep us in the most competitive games throughout the season.”
Promising Newcomers: Max Ucadze, Jake Sledzik.
