BOWLERS TO WATCH: Brayden Burnett is an up and coming freshman participating in national tournaments with an average of 200, offered Bower.
EXPECTATIONS: “We will focus on improving from last year both physically and mentally,” said Bower. “We’ve got a strong, young and energetic program that we are so happy to have built in the past years. We hope the student-athletes can build a community around this sport.”
13TH FRAME: “Blair Reichley returns as our student coach this year,” said Bower.
GARFIELD G-MEN

KENT ROOSEVELT ROUGH RIDERS

“These boys have improved so much from the prior season, and they have been bowling since the summer as well,” said Petrosino.

EXPECTATIONS: “We will be a young team this year with only one returning varsity bowler and three bowlers from the JV team,” Boveington said. “The rest of the team will be filled with first-year bowlers. There is no doubt we will go through growing pains this year, but you can tell the potential is there.
“I have seen a lot of improvement in the little time that we have been together,” added Boveington. “I have confidence we can continue the winning tradition that retiring coach Butcher has instilled in this program. The sky’s the limit with this group. They just have to trust in themselves and their abilities.”
STREETSBORO ROCKETS
COACH: Matt Stump
CONFERENCE: Metro Athletic Conference
HOME LANES: Kent Lanes, Kent
LAST SEASON: 4-10 in MAC conference play, 7th place.
RETURNING LETTERWINNERS: Cameron Cromlish (Sr.), Grayson Gano (So.).
BOWLERS TO WATCH: “Streetsboro has a number of new bowlers that will grow a lot throughout the season, including Nathan Wilson, Camden Silvis and Zachary Kalinowski,” said Stump.
EXPECTATIONS: “Streetsboro is building a foundation after losing four seniors,” according to Stump.
13TH FRAME: The Rockets’ assistant coach this season is Connor Stevens, who graduated from Streetsboro last year after a prep career that included multiple district qualifications. He is a student now at Kent State University.
