The 2025 Portage Sports High School Boys Basketball Preview Night was hosted at Waterloo High School on Thursday.

The event featured 10 teams playing two quarters as a featured showcase ahead of the official start to the 2025-26 regular season.

The schedule of games included:

  • Mogadore vs. Streetsboro
  • Rootstown vs. Field 
  • Crestwood vs. Garfield
  • Aurora vs. Southeast
  • Waterloo vs. Windham

Portage Sports sincerely thanks the administration and staff at Waterloo High School, most especially to athletic director Keri Dennison, for helping coordinate and host the event.

Additional volunteers, which Portage Sports also sincerely appreciates, were statistician Ellen Arena, Public Address announcer Jack Hugg, spotter and National Anthem singer Jennifer Hugg, clock operator Kyle Barkhurst, as well as Tom and Julie Nader and Kyle Nader.

Thank you to media members Jonah Rosenblum, Jeff Lange, Kevin Sledz, Derek Dimit, as well as student journalists Paisley Nader and Kyleigh Smith, for covering the event.

And, of course, thank you to all 10 of the teams that committed to participate in the Preview Night!
