For the second consecutive weekend, the Field Falcons boys cross country team were crowned champions.

Last week, the Falcons ran to a team title at Marlington’s Ashley White Invitational.

On Saturday, Field ran away from the pack once again. This time, capturing the championship at the Walsh Invitational.

The deep field at Walsh included 17 teams and 153 runners.

Sean Silk led the Falcons with a fifth-place finish. The senior captain finished the rain in 16:49.

Parker Shutty placed seventh, Lucas Pollard was 12th, while Billy Silk finished 16th and Mason Prusha was 30th to round out the team’s top five.

The Field girls team placed ninth at the same event. Maddie Adams was the team’s top finisher in 16th place, clocking a time of 20:41.

The Falcons’ top-five girls runners, following Adams, included Julia Potts, Reagan Slusser, Keegan Wyszynski and Carter Shutty.

Next weekend, both the Field girls and boys programs will run at the Boardman Invitational.
