Crestwood wrestling standout Drake Rennecker recently earned All-American honors at the Disney Duals.

Rennecker, who will be a senior this year for the Red Devils, finished with a 9-1 record at the prestigious event, including seven pins, at 145 pounds.

Wrestling as a member of the Ohio Titan Wrestling Club, Rennecker, who qualified for the district tournament this past season, has had a busy summer. He has also competed at the Tournament of Champions (Virginia Beach) and the Viper Pit (West Virginia).

In speaking with the Chagrin Valley Conference’s Steve Hare for the league’s website, Rennecker said:

“(The Disney Duals) was definitely a really fun tournament. I was really surprised by how I did. I’ve been working hard. Nonstop. I’ve been going to practice three times a week and lifting three times a week.”
