Aurora sits in second place in Suburban League’s All-Sports Trophy standings

The Aurora Greenmen sit in second place overall in the Suburban League American Conferfence’s All-Sports Trophy standings following the fall 2022 seasons.

Medina Highland leads the race with 111 points earned, while Aurora is second with 88.

The points were earned based off from each team’s finish within their respective sport.

A first-place finish garnered 14 points, second place was 12 points and the point system coordinated down two points less for each place finish down to zero points for an eighth-place finish in the league standings.

While Aurora did not celebrate any championships this fall, all of its teams had solid seasons led by the boys cross country program’s runner-up finish behind Highland, which had five league titles in the fall.

Football, girls soccer, girls cross country, boys golf, girls golf and girls tennis all placed second for the Greenmen in the standings this fall.

The full standings after the conclusion of the fall season were:

  1. Medina Highland 111 (champions in football, girls tennis, boys cross country, volleyball and girls golf)
  2. Aurora 88
  3. Revere 79 (champions in boys soccer and girls cross country)
  4. Copley 68 (champions in girls soccer)
  5. Tallmadge 61
  6. Kent Roosevelt 57 (champions in boys golf)
  7. Barberton 17
  8. Cuyahoga Falls 23
