Aurora High School formerly announced that Joe Nowak will be the boys basketball team’s new head coach.

The selection is pending approval from the Board of Education.

Nowak would replace Greg Rodi, whose abrupt resignation was accepted by the district on Tuesday, which was a game day.

Tuesday’s game against Cuyahoga Falls and Friday’s game against Tallmadge were postponed.

Nowak comes to Aurora after spending the last 10 years at Cuyahoga Falls as the head coach of its girls basketball program.
