On Senior Night, Windham senior Chase Eye rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns and threw three passes for touchdowns in a convincing 39-8 victory over North Baltimore.
Eye scored the Bombers’ first touchdown of the night on a 15-yard run that put his team up 7-0.
It was a short-lived lead, though, as North Baltimore answered back with a 27-yard run by Rowan Tackett. Thain Spangenberg crossed the goal line for the 2-point conversion to give North Baltimore an 8-7 lead.
Windham’s defense held North Baltimore scoreless the rest of the way.
Meanwhile, the Bombers’ offense kept going.
Three second-quarter touchdowns helped Windham (4-5) take control of the game.
The first one came from Chase Eye to Jack Eye on a 36-yard aerial strike that regained the lead for the Bombers 13-8 early in the second quarter (11:19).
Carlos Bruton was the next to scoring, racing into the end zone from 7 yards out and with 8:26 until halftime, the Bombers led 20-8.
Chase Eye rushed for another score at the 2:39 mark to give Windham a 27-8 lead at halftime. Eye’s scoring run was from 36 yards.
Two more second-half touchdown throws from Chase Eye completed the scoring for the Bombers. Both came in the third quarter, with the first coming 16 yards out on a connection with brother Jack Eye again.
Chase Eye found Lucas Churchill on the other on a 34-yard touchdown throw and catch.
Windham clinched a playoff spot with the win and will play on the road in Week 11.
