The Northern Ohio PGA League Section Championship was hosted by Eagle Creek Golf Club in Norwalk this week.

More than 200 juniors played at Eagle Creek on Friday in both 13U and 17U division teams.

Following Friday’s stroke-play qualifying, four teams were brought back for Saturday’s final matches, including 17U Team Tanglewood and The Dome — as well as 13U’s Toledo 1, Team Deegan, Tanglewood and Cleveland East 1.

In the 17U Division, Team Tanglewood, with teammates Gracyn Vidovic of Aurora, Elizabeth Coleman, Cammy Reed, Kate Sowers, Calli Reed and Elli Gonzalez-Ribble, defeated The Dome 7 to 2.

In the 13U Division, Team Deegan defeated Cleveland East Team 10 to 2.

With Vidovic, additional local golfers competing in the event included: James Morgan of North Benton, Mason Dillon of Rootstown and Bo Birchak of Lake Milton.

PORTAGE COUNTY SENIOR AM APPROACHING

The 54^th Senior Amateur tees off at Raccoon Hill Golf Course in Kent on Aug. 24 and concludes at Windmill Lakes Golf Course on Aug. 25.
