Derrick Simon, bowling in the Garden Spot League, missed a Perfect Game by only three pins, tossing a 297 game on his way to a 755 series. The league also had a trio of 279s rolled by Chris Day, John Brown and Shawn Bolyard — and a 278 game to lead the women bowled by Aleks Kiss.

In the youth leagues, Logan Cox, Lucian Sekierko was the best in the Spins Bowl Juniors, rolling a 222-469 for the boys. Jackson Adolph tossed the high series, a 489, with Isabella Ellis leading the girls, rolling a 168 high game.

Logan Cox rose to the top of the Special Needs League, bowling a 234-353 as Miranda Ailes earned the high game and series for the girls, a 224-327.

UPCOMING TOURNAMENTS

The Portage County Masters is set to compete April 12-13 at Spins Bowl and Kent Lanes, both in Kent and Sky Lanes in Garrettsville.

Based on 72 entries, first place is awarded $1,700. Entry fee is $125.
