The Streetsboro Middle School cross country team placed third overall at Saturday’s Malone Invitational.

Leading the way was a ninth-place finish for Sunnia McKenzie, who dropped almost a full minute off her time from last year.

On Saturday, McKenzie ran a 13:36.4.

Helping the Rockets’ high finish were also Dianna Collazo-Rivera and Morgan Vales, who both also finished in the top 20.

According to coach Chris Morgan, almost everyone on his girls team dropped their times from the same event last year.
