THE HISTORY
Beginning some time in the 1960’s, the Immaculate Conception School in Ravenna (South Sycamore Street) began sponsoring basketball as a member of CYO. Eventually, the school expanded to soccer. The school nickname was the Bobcats and the school colors were royal blue and white. The school, which was Kindergarten through 8th Grade, closed its doors in 2004. Part of the school was razed in 2007 to create additional church parking. The “new” addition to the school, which was built in 1950, is still there and is used for church outreach programs and office space for local organizations.
