The 1995 Ravenna High School wrestling team finished as runners-up in Division II at the OHSAA state championships hosted at Wright State University’s Ervin J. Nutter Center.
The event was held March 9-11, 1995.
The Ravens, coached by Steve Reedy, finished with 68.5 team points, which fell just short of Clyde’s 77.5 title-winning point total.
Jim Holmes won the 103-pound state championship, with a 14-11 decision over Coventry’s Shaun Tompkins.
Ben Ribelin placed fifth at 135 pounds with a 15-12 decision over Jacob Pleger of Watkins Memorial.
At 145 pounds, Jason Lara placed fourth overall.
At 189 pounds, Ben Hampton took third with a pin of Mentor Lake Catholic’s Jim Ayers in 2:22.
