It has been about two-and-a-half years since I first introduced Portage Sports.

Since the very first day, the amount of support has not only been amazing, but it has continued to grow.

So has the audience of readers.

Thank you!

It continues to be a very special career for me to cover Portage County sports, with the opportunity to spotlight the achievements of the student-athletes, families, schools and communities.

Company wide, we love telling stories for you to enjoy, creating content that builds pride within your community and being a bridge for the county’s different fan bases — all while proving that local communities are willing to support a local media outlet.

For 2025, Portage Sports wants to continue to give back and to give more to the communities.

We are excited to announce an expansion of our coverage.

For a new subscription rate of $50/year, subscribers will receive a quarterly Portage Sports magazine that will feature all of our top stories. The magazine will be in full color and delivered to your mailbox!

We know that many believe that print media is dying, but one of the most common questions I continue to receive is: “Where can I buy a copy of Portage Sports?”

The repeated question influenced the idea to produce a quarterly print magazine. It was through those conversations that I realized that people were still craving for something to hold onto and something to preserve memories.
