The 1936 Mogadore High School football team won the fourth league championship in program history.
The Wildcats finished the season with a 4-3-1 overall record.
Some interesting facts about the early years of Mogadore football.
• The first-ever game for the school was played in 1916. The school played just the one game that season, defeating Randolph, 7-6.
• The one game in 1916, though, surprisingly did not roll into anything for 1917. There were no known or recorded games in 1917 for the Wildcats.
• The first full season for Mogadore came in 1920.
• The first league championship recorded in school history was in 1922.
• Just four years after that first league title, in 1926, Mogadore did not field a football team. Instead, Mogadore had a baseball team. Apparently, there was a larger interest or desire from the student-athletes that year to play baseball over football.
