MOGADORE 73, FIELD 58
The Wildcats caught fire from long distance, burying 11 3-pointers on their way to a double-digit non-league road victory over the Falcons.
Will Butler, Layne Miller and Dillon Pendergast all hit a trio of 3s each, while Nick Coffman canned the other pair.
The long-distance shooting accounted for 45 percent of the Cats’ offensive production in the game. Add in Mogadore’s 12 free throws and the team received 62 percent of its points on 3s and free throws.
Miller fininished with a team-high 19 points, with Butler scoring 17, Pendergast with a season-high 15 and Coffman finishing with 11 points for the Cats (13-2).
The Falcons competed in every quarter, with the fourth quarter’s 20-15 advantage to Mogadore being the biggest disparity within any specific quarter. However, the Falcons simply could not keep up with Mogadore’s offensive firepower.
The Falcons (2-14) were led in scoring by Joe Crawford’s 20 points, while Grady Eady also reached double-digits with 14 points.
