The 2022 Kent Roosevelt-Ravenna Captains Luncheon was presented by Brimfield Insurance and hosted by NEOMED in Rootstown on Wednesday morning.
Members of both schools’ football, cheer and band teams were present as part of the event.
Also in attendance were administrators from both schools, including Superintendent George Joseph of Kent Roosevelt and Superintendent Laura Hebert from Ravenna.
Mayors Frank Seaman of Ravenna and Jerry Fiala of Kent also attended.
Portage Sports owner Tom Nader was the keynote speaker.
The Rough Riders and Ravens will meet on the gridiron for the 108th time on Friday in Kent. Ravenna currently leads the series 53-51-3.
The winner of the game will be presented The Big R Trophy, which has been sponsored by the Brimfield Insurance Group since 2004.
