The Country Club of Hudson has hosted the Junior Invitational since 1978, welcoming an international field of talented junior golfers.

This season’s tournament concluded on Thursday with, again, a stellar field of junior golfers competing over 54 holes.

This summer, the boys field was led by a host of local golfers, with only a few exceptions.

Ben Fauver of Hudson won the tournament, scoring a combined four-round total of 9-under-par, saving his best round for the final day, a 67 on the par-72 fairways in Hudson.

Finishing in the top 10 were Chris Pollak of Aurora, a varsity golfer on the Archbishop Hoban golf team, carding a total 6-under-par, good for third place. Polak’s best was fired on day two of the tournament, a 66 (6-under).

Earning fourth place was Sam Fauver, Ben’s brother, who fired a solid 5-under-par for the tournament.

Taking his place in the top 10 was Liam Curtis of Kent. Curtis tied for 10th place with a tournament total of 1-over-par, firing rounds of 71-69-77.

Additional local golfers and their place included:

GRACYN VIDOVIC

Max Devins of Aurora in 28th place at nine-over-par and James Morgan of North Benton in 87th place, firing rounds of 83-80-83.

For the girls, Gracie Larsen of Australia earned the championship, carding 1-over-par to earn the victory.

Gracyn Vidovic of Aurora took home third place, carding 6-over-par, firing outstanding rounds of 73-72-77.
