The Falcons enter the season with a large group of seasoned wrestlers.
“This group has a great work ethic and a go-get-em attitude. I am very excited for this season,” Tenney said.
Success for the team lives inside the possibility of working toward maximizing potential.
“Each wrestler has set individual goals on paper and if we can meet those, it will be a successful season.”
Joe D’Amico, Broc Sclimenti, Spencer Hunt and Owen Wymer are all returning lettermen with experience.
“I’m very excited to see them push each other to get better.”
Tenney also referenced new faces in the room, including Garrett Smith and Seth Dickson.
“They are working hard and coming along quickly.”
Brady McCoy anchors the group, returning from a solid junior season.
“We had put in a lot of time in training in the off-season.”
Carter White had a successful sophomore season, while Mason Long returns after missing last year with a knee injury. He qualified for the district tournament in 2022.
Lincoln Barnes has had a strong off-season of preparation and Tenney believes he is ready for a “breakout year.”
Brogan Kunkle, Logan Wagner, Caleb Schultz and Elizabeth Rock are all working to break into the lineup.
The lineup features many experienced performers, with returning lettermen John Riley and Will Nienhius spotlighting the group.
“They are looking to find their way to the top of the podium this year. John did a lot of summer wrestling, getting ready for his senior year. Will is hoping to jump back in and pick up where he left off.”
Additionally, the Falcons are expecting production from sophomores Daniel Hudson and Blake Dunderman.
“They have grown in the sport and have great attitudes going into the season.”
