Kent Roosevelt is enjoying success as swimmers compete in the OHSAA State Swimming Championships at C.T. Branim Natatorium in Canton.
The 200 Medley Relay team, including Adam Springer, Drew Vecchio, Kadin Pyka and Jack Puhalla, won the B final and finished ninth in the state for the relay.
The group’s time, 1:39.29, set a new school record for the Rough Riders.
Pyka also finished 25th in the 100-meter breaststroke.
Senior Gabby Melin concluded her high-school swimming career with a 29th-place finish at the state meet.
The boys 200 freestyle relay captured 19th in the state. Relay members included Jack Puhalla, Kadin Pyka, Drew Vecchio and Adam Springer.
It was Pyka again, capturing 24th in the 100 Freestyle.
Pulhalla, after his success on the relay teams, earned 32nd place in the 50-meter freestyle.
In the 100 Backstroke, Cameron Good of Aurora earned 23rd place.
The girls Division I state championships conclude the swimming tournaments on Saturday.
