LIAM CURTIS EARNS CO-MEDALIST HONORS

Liam Curtis of Kent Roosevelt fired a 76 at Club Walden in Aurora to share medalist honors with Marco Silva of Barberton in the second of four Suburban League tournaments.

Kent Roosevelt finished fourth and Aurora third in the American Conference side of the Suburban League at Monday’s event.

Aurora’s Jackson Server led the Greenmen (77) as Kyle Lancaster added an 81.

Rough Rider’s Deacon Smith (84) and Jaxon Turner (88) helped push Roosevelt into fourth place over Tallmadge

MORGAN FIRES UNDER-PAR ROUND IN PIRATES’ WIN

James Morgan fired a 2-under-par 34 on the Par 36 fairways at Olde Dutch Mill in Lake Milton as Southeast picked up their second victory in the MVAC.

Southeast (170) included Cole Bruno’s 44 and Josh Donovan’s 45 on the way to their notch in the win column.

Crestview (224) was led by Brayden Gilbert’s 55.

SOUTHEAST SWEEPS GREEN AND SPRINGFIELD

The Pirates’ Taylor Blazek was the best golfer on the Chenoweth Fairways on Monday as Southeast topped both Green and Springfield in an 18-hole tri-match.

Blazek turned in a 79 on the Par-72 fairways to lead the Pirates to a 348 total score.

Two freshmen, Sammy Morgan (84) and Jenni Mix (87) helped Southeast to its winning score.

Springfield was led by Brooke Porter (102) and Green’s best was shot by Leah Dang (85) as Green lost their first match of the season.

The victories push Southeast to 4-0. Springfield drops to 1-3 and Green to 4-1.

VIDOVIC SHARES MEDALIST HONORS AT SUBURBAN TOURNAMENT

Gracyn Vidovic fired a 73 at Club Walden in Aurora to share medalist honors at the second of four Suburban League tournaments and lead Aurora to the runner-up spot behind Highland.

In an unusual twist, Aurora, Revere and Kent Roosevelt all tied for second place with the tie broken by the fifth-person score.

Aurora’s scores included Manisha Girn (82) and Meena Kraus (84).

Roosevelt was led by Adrianna Mineo’s 80 and Ashlyn Leavery’s 83.

ROVERS TOP UNITED AT SUNNY HILL

The Rootstown Rovers fired a team score of 195 on their way to a solid victory over United (224).

Ava Miller earned medalist honors, carding a 46 with Anna Drago adding a 47 and Chloe Gardner a 50.

United’s best was earned by Emma Murphy (48).

The Rovers are now 2-2.
