It was a historic night for Field High School senior Cassie Wilde.
And what a week, in general.
On Friday night, Wilde was announced as the Homecoming Queen.
On Tuesday night, she scored a hat trick to highlight the Falcons’ decisive road triumph.
The three goals give her 68 for her career, which is a new school record, breaking the mark previously held by Brook Bowser (2017).
Field jumped out to a big lead in the first half and held a 5-1 advantage at the break. The Falcons, then, scored four more goals in the second half.
Joining Wilde with goals in the game were Savannah Rahe, Delilah Rahe, Ally Darlin, Emma Norman and Claire Phillip.
Mickey Herendeen had a pair of assists, while Taryn Allen and Norman each had one for the Falcons.

FIELD 5, COVENTRY 1
Garit Greene scored two goals and had two assists in the Falcons’ Metro Athletic Conference victory at Coventry on Tuesday.
Greene scored both of his goals in the first half — and both were headers from throw-ins sent into play by teammate Wyatt Rahe. In addition to a first-half goal by Kyle Schoenbeck, the Falcons established a 3-1 advantage by halftime.
Field’s defense held the Comets scoreless in the second half, while expanding its lead on goals from Liam Waffen and Schoenbeck’s second of the game.
ROOTSTOWN 5, ST. THOMAS AQUINAS 2
Derek Schindler and Nathan Pastor each scored a pair of goals to highlight the Rovers’ home victory over St. Thomas Aquinas.
Rootstown scored the game’s first five goals, including a pair in the first half from Blake Postlethwait and Schindler to take a 2-0 lead into halftime.
The lead expanded for the Rovers in the second half on back-to-back goals from Nathan Pastor, then Schindler netted the Rootstown’s fifth goal.
Brady Fillmore and Postlethwait each had an assist for the Rovers.

7-25, 23-25, 25-17, 25-20, 15-7
The Wildcats pulled off a huge Portage Trail Conference comeback victory at home over the Rovers on Tuesday.
Mogadore (7-6, 3-2) lost the first two games to Rootstown (8-6, 4-2), with the first being a decisive defeat.
But the Wildcats battled all the way back to win the final three games and earn the thrilling league victory.

The Red Devils were swept in a road Chagrin Valley Conference matchup with Independence on Tuesday.
Zoe Babnik led the team in service points with 10, while also being the team-leader in digs with nine.
Jazmyn Stevens had nine kills, while Aimee Baurnaskas had eight for the Devils.
The loss dropped the Red Devils to 6-8 overall and 3-2 in league play.
