A set piece helped lead the Pirates to the narrow victory over the Aviators on Monday night.
Emmi Smallfield sent a direct kick toward the frame from about 40 yards away that was aided by a Sophia Fischer header, which placed the ball to Cami McPeak.
McPeak battled a pair of Alliance defenders with dribble moves to score the lone goal of the game.
In a balanced attack for both teams, Alliance (8-2) inched ahead of Southeast (8-3) in shots on goal, 16-14.

The Pirates earned the three-game sweep in a non-league matchup with the Ravens.
Kayla Grope led the play at the net with 11 kills, while Norah Truex added four kills for Southeast.
Lilly Massrock distributed 18 assists, while Emma Janok and Mac For each had four digs for the Pirates.

After splitting the first two games with Chalker, the Bombers earned the decisive third game and then closed out for the win in the fourth game.
ZaNya Henderson provided a nice defensive effort with 25 digs, while also leading the team with five aces.
Leading the play at the net was Julia Jones with 11 kills, while Briah Daniel was also present around the net with four blocks.
Quinn Justham was the Bombers’ leader in assists with 16.
