Nathan Pastor scored four goals to lift the Rovers to a home victory over Rootstown on Thursday.

Pastor’s four goals were part of a first-half offensive explosion for Rootstown, which allowed the team to build out a 6-0 lead by halftime.

Also scoring for the Rovers were Blake Postlethwait, Owen Burrell and Brady Fillmore.

Assists from Rootstown came from Pastor and Jeremiah Dick.

The Vikings were led statistically by Miranda Long’s nine assists, Isabella Kozma’s six points, four aces and four kills, along with Lexi Eddy’s four digs.

The loss dropped Waterloo to 3-6 overall and 1-6 in the Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference.
