MAX DEVINS EARNS MEDALIST HONORS
The Suburban League held the first of four tournaments at Pine Hills Golf Course in Hinckley, site of the OHSAA Division I District tournament in September.
Max Devins, of Aurora, led his team to a runner-up finish in the tournament, firing 38-34 on his way to an even-par 72 on the tough fairways of Pine Hills.
Aurora finished second only to Medina Highland by six strokes.
Kent Roosevelt was close behind, taking third place behind the strong scoring of Liam Curtis, who placed third overall in the tournament, carding 38-39—77.
The Suburban League combines the four tournaments to determine the champion and individual honors.

The Vikings’ Jackson Eichler carded a 76, good for a top-four finish, with the Pirates’ James Morgan adding an 80 to take home sixth place with Trevor Simons of Waterloo.
