MOGADORE 10, RAVENNA 0
For the second time this week and third time this season, Mogadore starting pitcher Katie Gardner threw a no-hitter.
Friday’s highlighted the Cats’ 10-0 victory over Ravenna.
Mogadore jumped out to a 4-0 lead after the first inning, then ballooned the advantage out to 9-0 after two innings.
GARFIELD 16, LIBERTY 9
The G-Men offense came alive on Friday led by Kyndall Hahn’s special night.
Hahn had a four-hit game, with a home run, three singles, while driving in three and scoring four times.
Maddy Wilson had two doubles, a single and three RBI; Kolby Fresch and Juliana Genovese each had a single, double, two runs and two RBI; and Kaelyn Tasker had three singles, two runs and two RBI for the G-Men, who also received two singles, two runs and an RBI from CC Porter.
Inside the circle, Lizzy Moore pitched a complete game, striking out six. Offensively, Moore had two singles, a run scored and drove in a run.
BASEBALL
GARFIELD 8, NEWTON FALLS 2
Junior pitcher Eric Geddes pitched a complete-game and struck out 10, while scattering seven hits, to lead the G-Men to a Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference win on Friday.
Geddes also delivered at the plate, going 2-for-4 and driving in three runs.
There was plenty of additional offensive help for the G-Men.
Aidan Hill blasted a two-run home run, Jackson Sommer was 2-for-2 with two RBI and three runs scored and Brandyn Bogucki also went 2-for-4 and scored twice.
