WINDHAM 51, MAPLEWOOD 39
The Bombers overcame a sluggish third quarter to pick up a double-digit Northeastern Athletic Conference victory over Maplewood on the road on Friday.
Chase Eye once again paced the Bombers with 16 points, with his younger brother Jack Eye joining him in double figures with 12 points.
Windham led 32-22 in the third quarter, but then managed to score just six points in the third quarter to make its lead 38-33 heading into the fourth quarter.
A 13-6 advantage for the Bombers over the final eight minutes sealed the win.
LABRAE 63, GARFIELD 46
The G-Men battled closely for three quarters before a poor fourth quarter doomed them in a double-digit loss on Friday night.
Garfield trailed just 40-35 going into the final quarter, but LaBrae outscored the G-Men 23-11 in the final eight minutes to pull away.
Garfield was led in scoring by sophomore Preston Gedeon, who hit four 3-pointers on his way to a game-high 22 points. Vinnie Grandizio joined him in double figures with 10 points.
LaBraeās top scorer was Blake Kahnell with 19 points, while Keith Smith had 12 and Jay McGarry added 10 for the Vikings.
WARREN JFK 66, SOUTHEAST 42
Southeast struggled to find balanced offense, with only four players scoring, while the Eagles buried 10 3-pointers in a Portage Trail Conference battle in Palmyra on Friday.
Garrett Sprutte led all scorers in the game with 25 points to pace the Pirates, with Michael Phillips adding 10 points.
JFK led 45-36 going into the fourth quarter, then closed it out by outscoring Southeast 20-5 in the final eight minutes of play.
