ROOTSTOWN 67, MOGADORE 48
The Rovers continued their strong play this season, racking up their 12th win in 13 games with a road victory over the host Wildcats on Wednesday in Mogadore.
It was a balanced effort for Rootstown, which is now 5-0 in the Portage Trail Conference, with Nadia Lough leading the scoring at 14 points.
She had plenty of help, though.
Brooklynn McIntyre added 12 points, Kylie McColloch and Abby White each scored nine points, while Porter Smith had eight points for the Rovers.
Mogadore’s Brook McIntyre led the team with 17 points, with Ari Tompkins scoring nine for the Cats (8-5, 2-3 PTC).
Rootstown led 28-22 at halftime, then put the game away with a 17-point third quarter and 22 points in the fourth quarter.
CLOVERLEAF 42, FIELD 36
The host Colts (8-7, 5-4 MAC) used a 17-point first quarter to create a cushion of a lead that they held onto for the remainder of the game in a Metro Athletic Conference victory over the visiting Falcons on Wednesday.
Falcons sophomore Delilah Rahe led all scorers in the game with 21 points.
Cloverleaf’s offensive leader was Evie Barth, who finished with 14 points, while teammate Saige Foky reached double-digits also with 10 points.
Ally Harlin was the top rebounder for the Falcons (8-6, 5-4 MAC) with seven.
