The Southeast Pirates girls golf team enjoyed a solid day at Salem Hills, competing in the Mahoning Valley Invitational.
The team fired a 383 to take fifth place out of 15 teams in the event.
Two Pirates finished in the top 10. Taylor Blazek fired an 80 to earn fifth place, while Gracie Westover shot an 85 to take her place in the top 10.
The rest of the lineup included: Jessi Mix (123), Layna Tittel (111) and Adrianna Sloan (107).
Sophomore Liam Curtis added a 2-under-par 68 to his first round of even-par 70 to tie for second place as an individual in the Rough Rider Invitational at Windmill Lakes in Ravenna.
Senior Christian Mineo remained in the top 10, adding a 77 to his first-day total of 71 to take home seventh-place individual honors.
The Roosevelt boys welcomed 17 teams to the annual 36-hole tournament. Roosevelt took eighth place (646). Team champion Hudson fired a team total 592.
Dean Upholzer of Strongsville earned medalist honors (135).
Ben Curtis, Kent Roosevelt varsity golf coach, offered his appreciation to tournament sponsor Western Reserve Hospitals and Unity Health Network.
